Location
Located just at the edge of Puerto Iguazu, in the same area as the Loi Suites, the Awasi is perfectly located to head to both the Argentina side of the falls (approximately 30 minutes away) and through to the Brazil side of the falls (which, via the border crossing, is around an hour). Set in amongst virgin rainforest, the experience is one of tranquillity and calm.
Rooms
Far and away the best rooms of all the properties in the area, Awasi have always prided themselves on a sense of being the only person in their properties, where you don’t tend to see other guests during your stay. The Awasi Iguazu is no exception and each of the villas features an expansive and airy feel with a full sitting area as well as indoor jacuzzi bath looking out to the privacy of the jungle as well as a private plunge pool in each.
Layout
Each of the 14 luxury villas has been built as a stand alone structure, set on stilts and looking out onto its own expanse of jungle. While meaning the property is fairly spread out, it also affords you the luxury of feeling that you have your own little part of the jungle to yourself and so many of our clients have commented that an extra day in the property (most will only stay for a couple of nights in Iguazu, to see the falls and get out again) is really worthwhile to be able to really soak up the atmosphere.
Activities
Following on from their heritage in Atacama and Patagonia, Awasi Iguazu has a strong focus on not only the Iguazu Falls but also the forest and activities that are possible around the property. They have a small army of guides who are all allocated exclusively to each villa and set of clients which gives you the flexibility to be able to do what you want, when you want. You can choose from a list of different options, such as kayaking along the Parana or walking with a specialist birding guide through the canopy. This is a real chance to immerse in this spectacular and unique rainforest.
